OK, I cleaned my desk yesterday and it already has a pile of scraps on top of my camera. How did that happen?
Today I am sharing a layout I completed for my Wedding Album. It was for a challenge that required scrapping “flowers & fun”. I really wanted to give this a go as I am on a mission to step outside my comfort zone, and flowers are definitely outside my comfort zone. I’m not really a flower person. Yes, I like all things girly and sweet, but just not flowers! (I get a lot of allergies and have a sensitive nose – flowers often irritate that).
I didn’t even have flowers for my wedding
Here is my process video for this layout so you can see how I did it!
Some of the products I used were from the Dear Lizzy Polka Dot Party and Daydreamer collections, and Maggie Holmes Flea Market. I really love how dreamy and pretty this layout ended up being, and I feel like the photos suit it perfectly!
I generally don’t have patience to fussy cut things, so I often don’t bother. I am learning to love it, though. I really love altering products (such as cutting out bits and pieces, or sticking things over things) so that I can turn them from something I would never use into something I love.
Here’s a story. I remember not being entrusted to cut out something really intricate for something special in grade 2 because my scissors skills must have been less than awesome. I don’t remember the details. I would like to think my skills have improved since then.
I’ve called this layout “Me & You” because of the Maggie Holmes chipboard that became my title. I am really loving the gold at the moment! I really want some gold misting spray and/or a gold ink pad. Does anyone have any recommendations of brands? Let me know in the comments below.
